Club Membership Information Our Objectives:
- The objective of CASE is to introduce others to the world and hobby of amateur astronomy through educational sessions, meetings, and group star parties.
Our Beliefs:
- As a group, we profess to be believers in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We all agree that God created the universe and all things, no matter the means or modes of operation used. We believe that this organization is a forum for individuals to observe and marvel at the creation. Remember, all truth is God's truth, no matter what it reveals.
Membership Qualifications:
- CASE will accept all who profess an interest in amateur astronomy. All races, genders, and ages will be accepted for membership.
Annual Dues:
- Fees for the organization are $15.00 per year for regular membership. There is a family membership available for $25.00 per family per year, and a Junior membership of $5.00 per student per year, which includes college students. All individual members receive the quarterly publication of the Astronomical League, the Reflector, and the quarterly CASE newsletter, the Photon Gazette. Family memberships will receive one issue of each per family.
- Interested parties should contact CASE President Michael Peterson for more information, or send a check or money order, made out to CASE, along with name, address, phone numnber and any other astronomical societies that you currently are a member of to : CASE, c/o Mike Peterson, 2000 West University Street, Siloam Springs, AR, 72761. After receipt of your funds, a membership card will be sent, along with the current edition of the Photon Gazette. Your name will then be sent to the Astronomical League, unless you are currently a member of another AL society.
- Members are encouraged to submit via email photos, stories or articles for inclusion in the Photon Gazette and this website. Children's stories and photos or drawings of astronomical interest are also encouraged for inclusion on the KidsPIX section of this website.
